Located in front of the Miro Center on Gwangju’s Art Street, Gwanseonjae (觀善齋) means “House of Kind Vision” (觀, meaning “to see”; 善, meaning “goodness”; and 齋, meaning “house”). Established in 2019, the gallery aims to be a space where kind-hearted people come and appreciate the authenticity of artworks.
The four-story gallery, spanning from the basement to the fourth floor, includes the gallery itself, a café called 悠悠談 (Yuyu-dam), a conference room, and multipurpose spaces. Gwanseonjae strives to become not only a place for artists and citizens to gather but also a cultural hub where the people of Gwangju can enjoy and experience art.
