Galería Duván, based in Passatge Vilarrobau, Besalú, Girona, Spain, is a contemporary art space with an international vision, primarily dedicated to promoting the work of Colombian-Spanish artist Duván López and developing projects that connect art, nature, and perception.
At Art Gwangju 2026, the gallery presents Sierra Nevada, a new series within the Biophilia and Art project. The collection is inspired by Colombia’s Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, ancestral territory of the Arhuaco and Kogi indigenous communities, whose spiritual relationship with nature is a central reference for the project.
Through color, organic forms, and a visual language between figuration and abstraction, Duván evokes the rainforest, the mountains, and their symbolic dimension. Sierra Nevada invites reflection on our connection with nature, the balance between humanity and the environment, and the need to preserve a conscious relationship with our planet.
