Opened on July 1, 2022, Museum 7F is a contemporary art space spanning approximately 300 square meters, located on the 7th floor of Jungang Plaza (49 Namak 4-ro, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do).
Since 2023, the museum has established the Jeonnam Gifted Young Artist Program. Through this initiative, we are dedicated to supporting local youth by hosting art competitions and award ceremonies, organizing exhibitions, producing artist interview videos, offering aesthetics lectures, and building human networks through art. Participating students visit major exhibitions in Seoul—such as international art fairs (Frieze Seoul, KIAF), the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), and the Amorepacific Museum of Art—to experience the pulse of contemporary art firsthand. Through these opportunities, Museum 7F aims to broaden students’ perspectives and help them build a foundation for understanding and enjoying art throughout their lives.
In addition, through a partnership and ongoing collaboration with the College of Fine Arts at Mokpo National University, the museum hosts invitational exhibitions for emerging artists, providing a sustained platform for young talents to present their work.
Building upon our accumulated experience and public trust, Museum 7F will continue to serve as a cultural platform connecting the local community with the global art scene as an exhibition space rooted in public interest and professional rigor. We hope this space remains a place where individuals can question, reflect through art, and leave meaningful traces in their lives.
