Gallery DM was established in 2008 in Jung-gu, Daegu, with the goal of discovering and nurturing excelent domestic artists. After relocating to Changnyeong, Gyeongnam in 2017, it discovered and nurtured about 30 promising young artists through an artist residency program and has held around 70 planned exhibitions to expand the domestic art scene. For 14 years since its opening, the gallery has provided opportunities for young and promising domestic artists to showcase their works. Through the “Gallery in Life” project, it has placed art in everyday spaces such as hospitals, cafes, unsold apartments, and even detention centers, alowing people to encounter art by chance. With various unique exhibition plans, the gallery currently holds 12 planned exhibitions annualy to discover colectors.
